Conferences

1991 -
1) The Vice Chancellor of Pune University had delegated the responsibility of managing National Convention on 'Yoga and Biomedics - Scientific Research' organized by inter-university department of Pune University between 2-3 Feb 1991. This was a honor to the institute and MVRF shouldered this responsibility competently. Around 175 scientists from the nook and corners of India and abroad attended this convention. Daily Sakal published a scholarly article written by Dr. Vinod on his experience of the conference.
2) A state level yoga conference organized by 'Kreedottejak Mandal', Barshi (Sports Promotional Council, Barshi) was held in Barshi. This conference which was chaired by Dr. Samprasad Vinod was attended by  around 150 yoga experts from all over Maharashtra. The conference was inaugurated by Mr. B K S Iyengar.

1992 -
1) In the Yoga World Conference organized by Pondicherry Tourism Department, Dr. Vinod was invited as a Special Guest and Main Speaker. He delivered a speech on 'Control of Mind through Yoga'.

1993 -
1) Dr. Samprasad Vinod was appointed as Head of Yoga Section in the First International Conference on 'Astrological Medicine and Alternative Medicines' organized by the Medical Astrological Research Institute during 1st to 3rd January 1993.
The session on Yoga was named after Maharshi Vinod in which dignitaries like Yogacharya B K Iyengar, Adv. Avinash Chafekar and Dr. Samprasad Vinod delivered speeches.
For this function, luminaries like Dr. Enton Jaysurya (Sri Lanka), Dr. Nityanath Mandke, Dr. Pankaj Naram, Mohan Dharia, Mr. N S Pharande, Hon. Shivajirao Bhosale were present. 
2) Dr. Rujuta Vinod presented a research paper on 'Whole Brain Thinking' in 'First Indian Mensa Meet' on Jan 10, 1993.

1994 -
1) Indian Medical Association, Pune branch arranged a conference on 'Sports Medicine' in which one of the sessions was presided over by Dr. Samprasad Vinod. Around 400 medical professionals from Pune and outside Pune attended the conference. Dr. Narottam Puri who is an authority on sports was the chief guest at the conference.

1995 -
1) A seminar had been organized by Ved Vidnyan Mandal on yoga on 3rd and 4th June 1995. In this seminar, the papers 'Yoga and Mental Health' and 'Yoga for Self and Social Development' were presented respectively by Mr. S D Bapat and Mr. Sunil Pitale on the behalf of the MVRF.
