Teacher's Training Course for "Medico" Trainees

Teacher's Training Course for "Medico" Trainees:
· We go by original scripture by Patanjali so the Yoga teaching doesn't become a combination of physical exercise with odd-unsafe-unnecessary postures and breathing gymnastics.
· You are welcome to approach trainer and supervisor to quench the thirst of learning in depth and detail. The supervisor (Dr. Mrs. Rujuta Vinod, M.D.) spares time for minimum four education sessions with each trainee. You understand how to ethically practice "Yoga Therapy" as a supportive Alternative Faculty of Medicine. The supervisor shares the limitations and benefits of Yoga Therapy. She shares her experience with her clients having various psychosomatic illnesses (the names and details are kept confidential) which exist singly and in combination. She emphasizes that we need to look and relate with the person as an individual and not as "patient" or a "case".
· You need to understand that mind and body are not two different things/parts of self. The crux of learning and understanding Raj-Yoga is "Awareness" about Self in relation to the subjective perception of world.
· You are taught to be aware of your own pain, discomfort, tension, stiffness, rigidity, flexibility, elasticity, ease, restlessness, anxiety, fear, worry, distractions of attention, sounds, smells, temperature, hunger pangs, sadness, longings, thirst, urinary-bowel urges, headache, guilt, anger, unhappiness, sense of time, shyness, self-consciousness.
· You are also taught to be aware of "longing" for Eternal Peace, Salvation, Myths about Samadhi, Nirwan, Moksha, other terms from science of Mysticism, Euphoria, Appreciation and acceptance by trainer/supervisor
· This awareness helps the you in becoming aware of internal conflicts both intra-personal and inter-personal. You may feel motivated to work on your own conflicts and resolve them through Counseling and Psychotherapy. (ref. http://www.sweekruti.org)
· Thus you may also become aware of conflicts present in your client in practice

· Expected Trainee - graduate in Modern or Alternative branch of Medicine, age ranging between 25 to 40 years, physically healthy, self-motivated.
· Duration of the course - 6 months (22 days*6 months = 132 effective days (Saturday-Sunday off))

· Second half of training - Training as an intern (Learning and practicing the art and science of teaching Yoga to other fellow trainees, learning the ethics of practice, empathy, sincerity, regularity, consistency, self-discipline, flexibility, and unconditional acceptance. Eventually we let them teach our clients who do not have life threatening illnesses.
· The training and supervision is conducted on one to one basis with gentle manner and in a focused-forthright-transparent way.
· We don't conduct formal conventional examination. You are trained to evaluate your own performance, know your personality, aptitude, and attitude towards the Yogic way of living. The trainer and Supervisor communicate their observations and recommendations verbally to you.
· The certificate is respectfully handed over to you when you, the trainer and the supervisor are happy about the whole process of learning and teaching Raj-Yoga.
· You are trained to teach Art and Science of Yoga to physically healthy individuals as well as those clients having psychosomatic illness/s in sub-acute stage settled on medications not needing intensive care, bed rest or surgery..
